Gathered Scenes is Susan&Xin’s series of Chinese-style bead bracelets. Cinnabar, malachite, green jade and wooden beads are set against one another in colour: some pieces vivid, others quiet. Each bracelet is one of a kind, carrying these Chinese elements out into the world.

Inspiration and meaning

拾景 means to gather scenes: to pick up a landscape and keep it on the wrist. This is Susan&Xin’s series of Chinese-style bead bracelets, built on the meeting of colour and material. Cinnabar, malachite, green jade and wooden beads are used across the series, some pieces vivid, others quiet, and each bracelet is made as a one-off. The idea is to carry these Chinese elements out into the world.
